rubbing ribbings

today has been a good day..

 ventured around town with jack today. went to the tim walker exhibition at somerset house. it was actually really good. well curated. and FREE. that's always nice. 

i want a chair like this when i grow up. maybe not foxes. but something.

then after lots of looking at things and walking we went home and cooked dinner. then i baked a cake.

 and a night in. which is nice. watching videos and makings my sisters birthday card. she's 20 tomorrow. SO OLD. crazy.

everything seems to finally (not completely) be coming together. i've felt so inspired and driven by things lately. which is like REALLY nice. having ideas and imaginations all the time. imaginations are the best *smile* *tilts head* couple more boxes to tick. then i'm good to go!

realised i never posted about the new love in my life...

got them from a flea market when i was in france at the end of the summer for 1€. they were my prescription and everything. IT WAS FATE. don't believe in fate but it definitely was. THEY ARE NOW THE NEW LOVE OF MY LIFE. i really do love them. lots and lots.

reconstructing the familiar

can't say i really like this jumper. i blame the fact we had to use a tailored jacket. which i didn't much like *cry*. but i sort of had fun making it. i like the brown. i like brown. and the fluffy bit. i like fluffy. *gets excited by fluffy things*

emilien is too big. therefore the jumper was too small. but i like too small. too big and too small is my favourite. and thank you emilien for not being TOO awkward.

been away in greece for three weeks

been away for almost a month and it's pretty strange being back. but nice to see the cats. *smile* there are probably holiday pictures somewhere buuut they can come later if i feel like it. i thought it would be more fun to show off two pairs of shoes i got while i was there. 20 euros for both the pairs. i does love them. people i was sailing with got them for my 18th from a little old shoe shop in the most random town where clearly they were still selling the shoe stock from twenty years ago. it was pretty sweet! went sailing around the greek islands with some friends in their boat. sailing is stressful there is never a dull moment!!! pah. if only you could relate.

being on a boat you are never far from the sea! this makes the heat acceptable.
